Certified Organic, Pasture Raised Turkeys

We now offer certified-organic, pasture raised ground turkey.

Baby turkeys arrive at Tide Mill Farm when they are approximately seven weeks old. They are delivered, not the by the turkey stork (as you may have heard), but by people we know and trust from other organic farms.

They grow up here on our farm, eating fresh green grass and organic grains, and enjoying fresh air and our notoriously varied coastal weather.

When it’s time to process them, we do it here on the farm, which means they do not endure the stress of transport. Not only is that more humane, it results in lower levels of stress hormone in the meat you eat. Tide Mill Organic Farm turkey is always tender and delicious because we treat our turkeys with respect and care.
Turkey is low in the stuff you want to avoid (calories, fat, and cholesterol) and high in the good stuff like protein and awesomeness. (We recommend serving the awesomeness with a side of YAY! But that’s a personal preference.)

NEW THIS YEAR: Ground turkey! Available all year. It’s frozen, which (by February) so are we. Compared to ground beef, ground turkey is low calorie, low fat, low cholesterol and high protein.
